Pierce Pepin Cares Announces Third Quarter Grants
[Ellsworth, WI] –Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) is proud to announce the recipients of the Pierce Pepin Cares grants for the third quarter of 2025. Pierce Pepin Cares is funded by PPCS members who participate in Operation Round Up®, rounding up their monthly energy bill and donating the change. This quarter, $6,500 in grants have been awarded to seven local organizations making significant contributions to our community:

Among Friends: Provides memory care programs in Pierce and St. Croix counties. This grant of $1,000 will support transportation for program participants.

Just Do Something: Local students supporting both local and international needs. This $500 grant will be used to purchase supplies for their Ukraine Service Project fundraiser.

Kinne-Englehart American Legion Auxiliary #204: Provides financial support for local veterans. This grant of $1,000 will help provide grocery and gas cards to veterans.

River Valley Charities: Supports Pierce County children and families in need. This $2,000 grant will help provide grocery vouchers for their backpack program.

St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity: Provides housing to local families in need. This grant of $500 will help support their Rock the Block neighborhood revitalization project in Ellsworth.

St. Croix Valley Restorative Services: Provides support and counselling to local counties. This $1,000 grant will support the creation of therapy spaces.

The 2911 Project: Provides housing for local men in recovery. This $500 grant will support financial needs while expanding to support women and children as well.

Pierce Pepin Cares provides charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations that offer programs and support projects to enhance quality of life within the communities PPCS serves. Pierce Pepin Cares grants are awarded quarterly by the Pierce Pepin Cares board of directors. All nine PPCS directors serve on the Pierce Pepin Cares board, along with one PPCS member and one employee.
